Talloolah Love, "Queen of the Subtle T's" Plays in Atlanta!
Talloolah Love has performed all over the world, and has taught all over the country. She is the producer of “Talloolah Love Presents”: a series of burlesque shows including the "Rue Du Paradis" at Atlanta's High Museum of Art in 2011 her more recent AnachroCon shows: "Burlesque at the end of the world" and "The Repeal Revival", and lastly, the 2012 and 2013 Dragon*Con Burlesque show: "A Glamour Geek Revue". She is The Matron of the Atlanta Burlesque and Cabaret Society, she is the founder of The Texbook Tease. She was Pin Curl Magazine's February 2013 covergirl and finally, she is a contributing author along with Alan Moore, Margaret Killjoy, Sarah Hunter and Molly Crabapple in "The Steampunk's Guide to Sex", published in both English and Italian on Ebook and paperback!
After about 5 years of experience, Talloolah began to formulate classes. She wanted to teach other ladies and gents this form of expression in a way that made it all accessible. Acknowledging the fact that in a community so established as Atlanta’s, the desire to break in to the business can seem overwhelming and scary. She wanted women (and men) to know that society’s cookie cutter norms of beauty and what is art doesn’t extend to the burlesque stage. Oddities and fantasies are something that the burlesque community at large fertilizes and cultivates and she wanted to be a part of that. She feels that knowing your roots, where burlesque came from is as important as knowing how to build your own pasties! Whether you want her to do a workshop, panel, or private lesson, she’s here for all your teaching needs!
She invites you to bask in the glitz and glam of her burlesque world. Then, if you’ve a mind, jump right in and let it all hang out! Hers isn’t yo’ mamma’s form of Southern hospitality, hers is one of a completely different animal entirely! RAWR!!!
